Intimation of disapproval
From the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act of 1888, a notice of disapproval has been obtained. A basic permit needed from the municipal corporation when tearing down or rebuilding a building is called an IOD, or indication of disapproval. After obtaining an Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) from the municipal authorities, the developer is required to provide the current tenants of the property a reasonable notice period of 45 to 60 days.https://www.indiapropertydekho.....com/article/88/iod-
