Most commercial braille fonts, however, are not free. They are either distributed under license and at significant license fees, or they are released under some sort of proprietary restrictions that would make them very difficult to use. For example, although Microsoft has a free braille font included as part of its Microsoft Office program, its cousin WordPerfect does not. More recently, an unknown company sold a license-free braille font on the Internet, but it has since been removed.
