In this paper, N-methylene phosphonic acid chitosan (NPCS-PEI) was synthesized from chitosan, phosphorous acid, formaldehyde and hyperbranched polyethyleneimine (PEI), and Cu2+ and Pb2+ removal performance was examined in aqueous solution.
